As part of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of "Vrede" ("Peace") magazine, the Belgian peace organization Vrede launched a political cartoon exhibition, where the theme was "War". Two of my cartoons were shown in the exhibition.

A quick note for the Palestinians!

Philip Alston, the U.N. special rapporteur on extrajudicial executions, is visiting Rio de Janeiro to meet with political representatives, humans rights groups and family members of people killed by police forces. This morning, after a meeting with political representatives, I had a chance to give Mr. Alston two original artworks I made today about Gaza strip humanitarian crisis:

I said to Mr. Alston that I knew he was in Brazil to check denunciations of extra-judicial killings commited by Rio's police, but I offered cartoons as a quick reminder about the arbitrary executions commited by Israel in Palestine. Yes, I know this is only a drop in a whole ocean, but...anyway, it was sincere. For the love I have for the brave Palestinian people.
